God doesn't just want the sick to be healed, he wants us to enjoy good health and vitality.
John the Apostle communicates God's thought here:
3 John 1:2(KJV)
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Several people in the Bible enjoyed divine health.
It is on record that Moses, who died at the age of 120, even after 40 years of leading the children of Israel was as strong as ever.
Deuteronomy 34:7(KJV)
And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
At the age of 85, see Caleb's testimony to Joshua.
Joshua 14:10-11(KJV)
[10]And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
[11]As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
God wants us to be strong and healthy all the days of our lives.
That said, it is important to know that trusting God wholeheartedly as regards your health is beautiful, BUT do not abuse or misappropriate faith.
Going for medical checkup from time to time is not a walk in unbelief or fear. It is wisdom, not foolishness. Same health guidelines we yield to, as we brush our teeth and take our bath everyday, are the same that encourage going for medical checkup from time to time.
Observe personal hygiene. Dirtiness and untidiness are always used in a negative light in the Bible. It is an abuse of faith for good health when you are nonchalant about personal hygiene. You will be the one writing sickness a letter, and of course, sickness always replies in the affirmative.
Finally, avoid fatigue and malnutrition.
I, for one, have not needed medical treatment (drugs or whatever) for approximately nine years now. I often say this, that though I trust God for a sickness-free lifetime, I won't allow myself become the thorn in my own flesh. Whenever I notice any strange reaction in my body, I don't joke or gamble with it at all. I know it is either I need good rest, good food, or both. I act on that immediately.
God wants us to enjoy good health everyday. Do not ignorantly work against this.
Blessings.
